Everything for mowing day — in one place

Mowing dates, fields on real maps, automatic volunteer matching, drones with thermal imaging and verifiable statistics — built for the field, not the office.

Core features

What carries every mowing day

From the reported mowing date to the documented completion — the core features cover the whole process.

Operations & mowing dates

Create, coordinate and complete mowing dates — one report can cover several fields, and the status is visible at any time.

Fields & maps (GIS)

Draw fields as real shapes on the map or, in Baden-Württemberg, import them from FIONA — with name, crop type, this year’s crop and area.

Smart Matching

The right helpers for each operation — by distance to the field, availability and task, prioritised in a way you can follow.

Drone & thermal imaging

Live drone map and thermal imaging finds right on the operation map — the ground crew heads straight for them instead of walking the whole meadow.

AI risk rating

Risk assessment for fields and dates — a traffic light shows where searching is most urgent today.

Statistics, reports & impact

Operations, checks, fawns rescued, hectares checked and active helpers — as a dashboard and as a report for general meetings and funding applications.

Association management

Manage and invite members — each association in its own, cleanly separated area.

Teams & groups

Organise helper groups and hunting teams — tasks and invitations follow team membership.

Fawn record & operation record

Securing with time, GPS and photo, release with photo or reason, a reminder after two hours. An operation record per mowing report as a PDF — without personal names.

Expense allowances

Rates per paying organisation, mileage suggestions, volunteer allowance and annual budget with a traffic light, SEPA bulk transfer and DATEV export.

Rescue days

The association sets rescue days per municipality. Farmers see when rescuers will be around anyway when they report, and helpers sign up with one tap.

Farms & contractors

The contractor reports for the farm too — approved by the owner for a limited time, with one report covering all of the farm’s fields.

In detail

Sorted by role

Farmer, rescuer, hunter, association — every role gets exactly the tools it needs.

For farmers

Report instead of ringing round

Three steps: tap the field, pick the date, send. The platform takes care of everything else.

  • Mowing date in minutes — Pick fields on the map, set the day and time — even from the tractor.
  • Live search status — Who is coming, what is under way, what has been cleared — visible at any time.
  • Documented all-clear — Mow with documented proof of what was searched and when.

For fawn rescuers

Operations that suit you

Smart Matching invites helpers who live nearby and are available — prioritised in a way you can follow.

  • Invitations nearby — One tap to accept, with all the details on the field and meeting point in the app.
  • Documentation as you go — Fawn secured, photo taken, saved — not at your desk in the evening.
  • Sign up for rescue days — See rescue days nearby and sign up with “I’m in” — the association sees who is coming.

For hunters

Keep an eye on your hunting ground

Automatically in the picture when mowing is planned on your own ground — instead of hearing about it afterwards.

  • Hunting grounds and sightings — Record wildlife sightings and see them on the map.
  • Informed automatically — Mowing dates on your ground appear straight away — with field and time.
  • Shared picture — Farmer, rescuers and hunter all see the same information.

For associations & local groups

Your association in one place

Members, operations and statistics together — reports at the push of a button instead of in Excel.

  • Expenses at the push of a button — Travel costs and allowances per operation — at the end of the season as a bulk transfer and DATEV export.
  • Impact reports — Figures for your general meeting and funding applications — verifiable and up to date.
  • Season statistics — Operations, fawns rescued and volunteer hours at a glance.

Extensions your association can switch on

Beyond the core, there are modules that are activated per association — only what is actually needed.

Wildlife

Hunt planning and population density.

Funding

Digital funding applications.

In the works

The drone flies the field — and the app watches along

The next step is built and flying on the test bench: WildRescue plans the flight, steers the drone over the field and analyses its thermal image while it flies. Warm spots appear as possible finds on the operation map — the ground crew heads straight for them instead of walking the whole meadow. It is not yet switched on for farms, and we will only name a date once it is fixed.

Flight plan from the field

The app works out route, flight time and battery needs, checks no-fly zones and sends the plan to the drone. Control is built to work with any manufacturer: your model reports what it can do — and only that is offered.

Live thermal imaging, not afterwards

The image goes to the platform during the flight, is analysed and then discarded. No image is stored — only a point with a time stamp, and that expires after a short period.

A trained model, honestly measured

A pre-filter flags warm spots, a trained model sorts them. On a flight it has never seen, it finds a good six in ten fawns — clearly more than the pre-filter alone, and a long way from “the drone finds everything”. The person at the edge of the meadow still makes the call.

The pilot remains responsible for the flight: EU drone rules apply unchanged, and WildRescue does not replace any permit.

Under the hood

What it all stands on

Offline first

Tracks, finds and rescues are saved on the phone in dead spots and sent automatically later — exactly once, with no duplicates.

GPS proof

The search path is recorded as a track. The all-clear for mowing is proven — not just claimed.

GDPR built in

Servers in Germany, data export, real account deletion and audit logs — data protection is built in, not bolted on.

Multi-organisation

Each association works in its own, cleanly separated area — with its own members, fields and reports.
