Report it, don’t ring round
Tap the field, pick a date, send — WildRescue takes care of volunteers, arrangements and the documented record. Free of charge for you.
What’s in it for you
Three steps for you — the platform does the rest. And you mow with a clear conscience and documented proof.
Reported in minutes
Tap the field, pick the time window, send — one report can cover several fields. From your phone, even from the tractor.
No more ringing round
Suitable rescuers nearby are invited automatically. You can see at any time who has said yes and who is coming.
Enter your fields once
Draw them on the map or, in Baden-Württemberg, import them straight from FIONA — your fields stay saved for every season.
All-clear with proof
For each field you can see whether, when and until when it was checked — with the GPS search path as evidence.
Clear when you can mow
A searched meadow with no find is cleared until midnight the same day. If a fawn was found, you see by when you should mow — so it isn’t kept in the box too long.
Free for you
Registration, farm, fields, mowing reports and statistics cost farmers nothing.
Mow when rescuers are around
If the association has set a rescue day in your municipality, you see it as soon as you report. Put your mowing on that day and the helpers are out anyway.
Your contractor reports too
You approve them for the season and they report for your fields. You hear straight away about anything they report or cancel.
Proof to take away
Every mowing comes with an operation record as a PDF: when it was reported, when it was searched, what was found.
Report your mowing from the tractor
The app is built for one hand and a spare moment: tap the field, pick the time window, send. Whoever is next is informed automatically.
- Your fields are already there, with their size — no looking up parcel numbers
- One report can cover several fields and several days
- You see the all-clear after the check straight away on your phone
Available for Android and iPhone

How your mowing works with WildRescue
Four steps — and at each one the platform automatically informs the people who are next.
- Step 1
Enter your fields
Draw your meadows on the map once — with aerial imagery and the area calculated automatically. In Baden-Württemberg you can also use the FIONA export.
- Step 2
Report the mowing
Pick one or more fields, set the time window, send. Done.
- Step 3
Follow the search
Suitable helpers are invited. You see live who has said yes and which field has been checked.
- Step 4
Mow with the all-clear
Once the check is complete, you see the all-clear straight away — with documented proof and the time until which you can mow.
Report instead of ringing round — try it out
WildRescue is free for farmers. If your association or local group is already on board, you can be up and running in a few minutes.
- Servers in Germany
- GPS record of every search
- Works offline in the field
- GDPR-compliant
Frequently asked questions
You’ll find more answers on the FAQ page.
Yes, in Baden-Württemberg. Download the list “Aktive Fachinformationen” from FIONA as a CSV and upload it to WildRescue: your plots arrive with outline, name and this year’s crop. You never enter your FIONA password with us. Fields you have already drawn are recognised and not created twice.
Yes. They request access with your farm code or farm number, and you approve them — limited to the season. You hear straight away about anything they report, postpone or cancel, and you can change their reports at any time.
Yes, on both — on Google Play, and since 19 September on the App Store too. The app is free and ad-free. At your desk, carry on in the browser with the same account.
No — that is exactly what WildRescue is built for. A farmer needs to do three things: tap the field, pick the date, send. The platform takes care of everything else (inviting helpers, keeping people informed, documenting).
The app keeps working offline: GPS tracks, find reports, rescues and completed checks are saved on the phone and sent automatically as soon as there is a connection again — exactly once, with no duplicates.
The farmer reports the mowing date, fawn rescuers search the field, hunters are informed about dates on their own ground and report sightings, and the association organises and evaluates. Everyone sees the same picture — and each role only sees what concerns it.
Yes. Farmers report mowings for free, rescuers document their operations for free, hunters report sightings for free. The platform is paid for by the funding body for the district — a rescue group, the district hunting association, the district farmers’ association or the district authority. Volunteering must not fail because of cost.
Only people you actually share an operation with. Otherwise your phone number and e-mail address are visible to no one — not even to other members.
Your next mowing — without the phone chain
Free for farmers. The rescue association near you brings the helpers.
